Dr. Anthony B. Rodgers, Sr.Dr. Anthony B. Rodgers, Sr., is a native of Birmingham Alabama, and is the youngest son of the late Richard and Jefferie Rodgers. He came to know the Lord as his personal savior at the age of seven. He was re-baptized, licensed and ordained to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at New Oak Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dr. Rodgers began his pastoral ship at First Baptist Church Crestwood on February 6, 1999. Since that time the church has grown and has prospered in growth, both spiritually and physically. Dr. Rodgers puts his trust in God, always using Psalm 23 as his daily anchor prayer. After graduating from Holy Family High School in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Rodgers attended Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He obtained Associates Degrees in Electrical/Electronics from Tidewater Community College, a Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies, a Master of Divinity Degree and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Norfolk Seminary and College. He also has an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from Rhema Seminary and College. Presently, he is the Dean of Tabernacle Bible College, Chesapeake Campus. In March 2007, under Bishop S. Todd Townsend, Dr. Rodgers was elevated to Overseer of The Resurrection Kingdom Fellowship of Churches in Wilmington, Delaware. On February 8, 2008, Overseer Rodgers was appointed Bishop-designate. Dr. Rodgers is a resident of Chesapeake, VA. He is married to Darlene Mason-Rodgers.
